穏やかな朱色から日本的な紅色へ、上品な明るい色が移ろう、玉まゆのぼかし染め織り布です。

玉まゆとは、二頭以上の蚕がひとつの繭をつくったもの。
通常の繭とは形が異なるため、糸を引くと、ところどころに節のある表情豊かな糸が生まれます。

この布は、その希少な玉まゆの糸を使って織った、完成サンプル作品です。
均一すぎない糸の表情と、穏やかな朱色から紅色へと移るぼかし染めが重なり、上品な明るさの印象の一枚に仕上がっています。

素材は絹100%。
軽やかでさらりとした肌触りがあり、首元にすっきりとかけたり、和装の際のストールや帯揚げのようにお使いいただくこともできます。

サイズは約38cm × 175cm。
細長い形なので、装いにやわらかな色を添えたいときにも扱いやすい布です。

A silk gradation-dyed textile woven with tamamayu silk, shifting gracefully from a soft vermilion tone to a refined Japanese beni red.

Tamamayu refers to a cocoon made by two or more silkworms together.
Because of its irregular shape, the silk thread drawn from tamamayu often has small slubs and natural variations, giving the yarn a distinctive texture.

This piece is a completed sample textile woven with this rare tamamayu silk yarn.
The gentle irregularity of the yarn and the gradation from soft vermilion to beni red create an elegant, bright impression across the cloth.

Made from 100% silk, it has a light, smooth, and dry touch.
It can be worn lightly around the neck, or used with Japanese clothing as a stole or in a way similar to an obiage.

The size is approximately 38cm × 175cm.
