糸を紡ぐための小さな道具、手紡ぎスピンドルです。

このスピンドルは、バリ島の職人の手仕事によって、一本一本丁寧に作られています。
木のあたたかみが手に馴染み、真綿や羊毛などの繊維に撚りをかけながら、少しずつ糸へと育てていくことができます。

yamamayuでは、絹真綿から糸を紡ぐ際にも、このような糸紡ぎ棒を使っています。

ふわりとした真綿に撚りが加わり、一本の糸になっていく時間。
素材に触れ、手を動かしながら、糸が生まれる過程をゆっくりとお楽しみください。

手仕事でつくられた道具のため、円盤部分の木彫り模様は一本ずつ異なります。
ご注文後、在庫の中からお選びいただけるよう、模様の写真をお送りします。

糸紡ぎ棒は木製の道具のため、破損を防ぐよう緩衝材で包み、箱に入れて丁寧に発送いたします。

送料はお届け先の地域により異なります。
道具の形を守ってお届けするため、簡易包装での発送は行っておりません。

Wooden Spindle for Hand-Spinning

A small wooden spindle for hand-spinning thread.

Each spindle is carefully handcrafted by artisans in Bali.
The warmth of the wood fits gently in the hand, allowing you to add twist to fibers such as silk mawata or wool and slowly turn them into thread.

At yamamayu, tools like this are used when spinning silk mawata into yarn.

As soft fibers begin to take twist and gradually become a single thread, you can experience the quiet process of material becoming yarn through your own hands.

Because each spindle is handmade, the carved design on the wooden whorl is different from piece to piece.
After your order, we will send photos of the available designs for confirmation.
