The layered colors of the threads evoke the quiet breath of the earth and the trees in stillness.
This textile embraces the wearer with an air of tranquility and dignified presence.

Warp: Silk (arranged with dozens of mixed colors)
Weft: Silk + handspun floss silk (varied thicknesses, intricately switched throughout the weave)
Technique: Karami (Leno) weaving

As its name Shinkan (Song of Stillness) suggests, this is a one-of-a-kind piece that carries the depth of stillness within itself.
